The front original portion of this home was constructed, of logs (seep photo below) in 1798 and the basement area, possibly added later, of stone construction (see photo below). There is an addition at the rear, a shop and a guest home next door all part of our inspection.
Interesting footnote: This buyer had originally considered purchasing the home this inspector Josh Hedges, and his lovely bride, purchased built in 1886 and are in the process of renovating. What is 100 years here or there?

Where we make it happen on YOUR schedule
9 AM inspection, recently closed, new construction, occupied
Inspection this morning is a little different as it is a recently closed new construction and occupied. We don’t get many requests like that. However, be aware, even if you have already closed, occupied and failed to get an inspection, your builder still has responsibilities extending out at least for one year and if the issue involves code or gross negligence likely seven years and possibly longer. Uncomfortable? We can help with an inspection and advice from over 50 years in construction and inspections.
