Chris on yesterday's 10 AM Newland condition of home inspection

Black Cat Inspector Chris Hilton on yesterday's 10 AM condition of home inspection in Newland for the homeowners. This home was built around 1932 as a summer cottage and originally had no electrical wiring or bathroom and still doesn’t have central heat or air. An addition provided a master bedroom/bathroom. The sister/owners, heirs of the original family, are very concerned with its condition that it might “fall down the mountain”. My first reaction on arrival was the same as theirs and yours likely is. Fortunately, it is in much better condition than it appears and isn’t going to “fall down the mountain”. Hopefully I was able to point out some issues in need of attention and provide assurance that this home is not what is considered by first impressions providing them some comfort in their family inheritance.
