Honeycombing at exterior edge or concrete floor slab on a new $268,000 home and contractor acts like it is no big deal. Structurally it isn't an issue. Cosmetically, totally unacceptable. As long as homebuyers continue to ignore and accept it this will not change. Photos by our Emily Cabrera.

Inspector Emily Cabrera on her 10 AM new construction inspection, in Winston-Salem, this morning which booked near 8 PM last night. We never know where we may be next. What is different about this home? Apparently, Pam Hilton and her associate listed this home when new, we inspected this home for the seller on his purchase, inspected the home he sold to buy this one, before he purchased it, and then inspected that home for that buyer. I know, confusing and complicated. Inspections can get wild and complicated when you have been at if for 26 years.
I have posted several photos, and videos, which included Sable’s “Cat House” covered with snow. That front center is snow covering one of the access doors with strip plastic flaps. Sable has never entered her house, on her own, unless we open the full, large, side access doors. Since 4 degrees at daylight she has ventured out briefly on multiple occasions. It is now 26 degrees and on this venture GrandPam observed her, out a window, knock the snow out of her way and crawl in her house through the plastic strip doors. That is a first for her, We have been trying to get her to do that since summer a year ago. Eureka!!! She has figured it out. Our Black Cat 🐈⬛ inspected the “Cat House”
